When Kym Crawford walked through the doors of The Station House for her first day of training, she was an experienced healthcare professional looking for the next chapter. Three days later, she walked out a qualified aesthetic practitioner and left us a review that genuinely stopped us in our tracks.

We do not shout about the training academy as much as we should. So today, we are letting Kym do the talking.
"Have just spent 3 training days with Lee at the Aesthetic Surgery Durham. I can honestly say it was the best 3 study days I have completed in a long time. The 1-1 attention is something that I have not done before but would highly recommend for the attention to detail and the personal touch. Lee is obviously so knowledgeable and knows his stuff inside and out. I felt comfortable and so at ease being able to ask questions and when I didn't understand things he would clarify in a way that I did. He is a genuine lovely person who is keen for students to succeed in their goals and has a lovely relationship with his own clients, who clearly adore him both as an experienced practitioner but also a friend. Highly recommend Lee for any training needs you may have." Kym Crawford, Graduate, The Aesthetic Surgery | Durham, April 2026
That review is everything we stand for at this academy. Not a conveyor belt. Not a one-day certificate mill. A genuine, personal, expert-led training experience that gives practitioners the knowledge and confidence to go out and build brilliant careers.
Why 1-1 training changes everything
Most aesthetic training courses put 8, 10, sometimes 15 students in a room with one trainer and a handful of models. You get limited hands-on time, limited feedback and very limited opportunity to ask the questions that actually matter to you.
At The Aesthetic Surgery | Durham, training is delivered 1-1 or in very small groups. Every session is built around you, your learning style, your pace and your goals. If something does not land first time, we go again until it does. That is not something you get on a group course.
Who trains at The Aesthetic Surgery?
Our students come from a wide range of backgrounds. Nurses, paramedics, GPs, dentists and allied health professionals who are ready to build a career in aesthetics or add new skills to an existing practice. What they all have in common is a desire to learn properly, not just quickly.
Kym is an experienced Midwife working in the NHS who has completed both her Botulinum Toxin Type A and Skin Booster training and her Conduction Therapy Microneedling training with us, earning continuing CPD credits across the three programmes. She shadowed in clinic, observed real client interactions and left with the confidence to go straight into practice.
What our training includes
CPD-accredited theory and practical training, 1-1 or small group sessions with Lee directly, real clinical environment at The Station House Durham, live model practical sessions, workbook and theory assessment, ongoing support after graduation, certificates issued same day, delivered by Lee Jameson L3 AET (RQF) TQUK, Clinic of the Year 2025.
