Cookies & privacy policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to The Aesthetic Surgery's website (the "Website"). This Cookies and Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information and how we use cookies on our Website. By accessing or using our Website, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect and process certain information when you use our Website, including but not limited to:
Personal information, such as name, contact information, and any other information you provide.
Log and usage data, including IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamps, and clickstream data.
Cookies and similar technologies, as described in the "Cookies" section below.
3. Use of Personal Information
We may use your personal information for purposes including, but not limited to:
Providing and improving our services.
Sending promotional emails and updates.
Responding to your inquiries and providing customer support.
Analysing trends and usage of the Website.
4. Cookies and visit statistics
Cookies and similar technologies are small pieces of information stored on your device when you visit a website.
Visit statistics. We use our own first-party statistics, run on our own systems, to understand how the Website is used so we can improve it. This records the pages viewed, how long each page is open, how far it is scrolled, the website or link that brought you here, your device type and browser, and an approximate town worked out from your connection. A random identifier is kept in your browser so we can recognise a returning visit and follow it through to our booking page. We do not store your IP address, we do not use this to identify you (except when you arrive from one of our emails, as explained under Personalised offers below), and it is not shared with advertisers or any third party. Statistics are kept for up to 2 years.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our Website, and the UK rules that allow storage for statistical purposes with a clear way to object. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we do not collect statistics at all.
Your choice: Visit statistics are on for this browser.
Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel). Only if you choose Accept, we load the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. It tells Meta that a visit came from one of our adverts and whether you went on to start a booking, pay a deposit or contact us, so we can measure and improve our adverts on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may combine this with information it holds about you under its own privacy policy. The legal basis is your consent, and you can change your mind at any time with the button below. If you choose No thanks, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Meta Pixel is never loaded.
Advertising cookies: Not chosen yet.
Personalised offers by email. If you are a client who has agreed to hear from us, the links in our marketing emails contain a private reference to your client record. When you follow one, the treatment pages you view are linked to your record so we can send you offers that suit you, for example a treatment you have looked at, or the next step after a treatment you have had with us. We never use your medical history for this. You can stop it at any time by unsubscribing from our emails or by asking us.
Advertising on Facebook and Instagram. If you have agreed to receive marketing from us, we may share your email address and mobile number with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd in a scrambled (hashed) form so Meta can match them to Facebook and Instagram accounts. We use this so existing clients are not shown adverts meant for new clients, and so Meta can show our adverts to people with similar interests (a "lookalike audience"). Meta deletes the details once matching is complete. We never share anything about your treatments or health. The legal basis is your consent to marketing. To opt out, unsubscribe from our emails or tell us, and you will be removed at our next update.
Essential storage. Our booking and payment pages use storage that is needed to make a booking work, and our payment provider Stripe uses its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the booking process may then not work.
5. Data Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
6. Third-Party Websites
Our Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these websites. Please review the privacy policies of such third parties before providing any personal information.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the contact information provided below.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookies and Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any such changes will be posted on this page.
