Profhilo, Profhilo Structura or Aquashine? Choosing the Right Skin Booster
By Lee Jameson-Laffey · 19 October 2026 · 4 min read

"Should I have Profhilo?" is one of the questions I am asked most in clinic. The honest answer is: it depends what you want your skin to do. We now offer three hyaluronic acid skin treatments at Station House, and each one does a slightly different job. Here is how to tell them apart.
First, what all three have in common
Profhilo, Profhilo Structura and Aquashine are all injectable treatments based on hyaluronic acid, a substance your body already makes to hold moisture in the skin. None of them is a traditional filler. They are not designed to change the shape of your face or add obvious volume. They improve the quality of your skin, or in Structura's case, the support underneath it.
Aquashine: hydration and glow
Aquashine combines hyaluronic acid with peptides to deeply hydrate the skin. It is a lovely choice if your skin looks dull, dry or tired, or if makeup has stopped sitting the way it used to.
- Best for: dehydration, dullness, a loss of glow
- Course: 3 sessions, one a month
- Price: course of 3, £279

Profhilo: firmness and skin quality
Profhilo contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid in a stable form. Once placed, it spreads through the skin, hydrating it and supporting firmness. It is the one to consider if your skin is starting to look crepey, less springy or more lined, particularly on the face, neck, décolletage or hands.
- Best for: loss of firmness, crepey texture, fine lines, ageing neck and hands
- Course: 2 sessions, 4 weeks apart, then a top-up every 4 to 6 months
- Price: course of 2, £499 (single session £275)

Profhilo Structura: lower-face support
Structura is a newer, firmer formulation from the makers of Profhilo. Rather than working on the surface of the skin, it is designed to restore support in the lower face, where natural fullness fades with age. The result is a jawline and lower face that look lifted and refreshed, without the look of filler.
- Best for: a softening jawline, early jowling, lower-face heaviness
- Course: 2 sessions, 1 month apart, then a top-up every 3 to 4 months
- Price: course of 2, £549 (single session £299)

So which one is right for you?
As a simple guide:
- If your skin looks dull and dehydrated, start with Aquashine.
- If your skin looks less firm or crepey, Profhilo is usually the better choice.
- If your jawline and lower face are what bother you, ask about Structura.
Many people benefit from combining them, for example Profhilo for overall skin quality with Structura for lower-face support. That is something we plan together at consultation, so you only have what will genuinely make a difference.
What about downtime?
All three involve a small number of injections. You may see small raised bumps or a little redness for up to a day, and occasionally some bruising. Most people carry on with their day straight afterwards.
Genuine products, honest advice
We only use genuine, fully traceable products, with batch details recorded in your treatment notes. As Best Safety-Led Aesthetics Clinic 2026 in the North East, that matters to us. And if none of these treatments is right for you, I will tell you.
